Klonopin Addiction Treatment
Klonopin, or Clonazepam, is a
benzodiazepine used to treat panic attacks and convulsive
disorders such as epilepsy. Clonazepam is a
benzodiazepine derivative with highly potent anticonvulsant,
muscle relaxant and anxiolytic properties.
Klonopin is a central nervous system depressant and
can slow normal brain function. Long-term use of Klonopin can
cause problems such as fatigue, muscle weakness, tolerance,
physical and psychological dependence and withdrawal symptoms.
Sudden withdrawal from Clonazepam may also result in
withdrawal symptoms including anxiety, irritability and
potentially the life threatening condition status epilepticus.
