Valium Addiction Treatment
Valium, or
Diazepam, is a benzodiazepine
used to treat anxiety disorders and convulsive disorders such as
epilepsy. Tolerance develops when
the drug is taken over time, meaning that higher doses must be
used to achieve the same effect.
Similar to Morphine, Diazepam modulates the dopamine
system and in studies have shown to increase impulsiveness and
reward seeking behaviors.
Diazepam drug misuse can occur either through
recreational or medical misuse.
